  • Hello, I only knew Greg from the Liquor Store. I see now after reading this why he always bugged me about my boat. I used to say to him “how are you not fired, I call every week about you!” He knew I was kidding. I had actually called to say what an amazing employee they had. What should be a 5 minute stop to pick something up would turn into half an hour if Greg was working. Always a smile and always a joke. Was a very genuine man. I haven’t seen him for some time and asked today and was told the unfortunate news of his passing. The store he worked at is still having a hard time without him they told me. Greg always made any day I saw him brighter! Great man. I will miss him. I’m just a customer and he touched me (well not that way lol) Greg would have laughed at that. - Posted by: Jennifer (Customer) on: Sep 30, 2023

  • We are saddened to hear of Gregg's passing. Over the years he had become a member of our extended family. He was introduced to us when he mentored our son at Habitat for Humanity and the two became close friends. Gregg joined us for many family occasions over the years bringing his energy and humour. We will always remember how much he enjoyed Ukrainian Christmas and how he never forgot our anniversary! Our condolences to his family. Rest well Gregg. - Posted by: Vivienne and Warren Preece (friends) on: Aug 14, 2023

  • I was shocked and saddened on hearing the news of Gregg’s illness and passing. Gregg and I were instant and close friends, pretty much from my first day at the Free Press in 1973. I was warmed by the recollections in the obituary and how it brought back many memories I have of Gregg. The cars, the boats, the good times at the lake. The endless summer evenings of media league slow-pitch softball, and the inevitable post-game activities. My sincere condolences to the family on your loss. Rest in Peace Gregg. - Posted by: Patrick Collins (Friend/Coworker) on: Aug 14, 2023
