Very sorry to hear of Ray's passing; condolences to Ray's family, from me and my wife June. I worked with Ray at Canada Post, and have always found him to be a very pleasant and friendly person. Over the last few yrs had run across him at Costco and we would have long conversations as he had been school friends with my wife June and her family. RIP Ray. It certainly is very sad news that Ray has passed on. In addition to his off beat sense of humour, his knowledge of the game of curling, his never ending efforts to keep the curling club on an even keel, his early morning hugs for the ladies (and an occasional guy), and his great sense of fair play, Ray was simply a great human being and fun to be around. I will miss Ray. My condolences to Lorraine and the family. Rest in peace Ray. - Posted by: Robert Crawley (Acquaintance ) on: Aug 23, 2023

I had the joy of knowing Ray through soccer at Gateway Rec Centre and the WWSL. Ray and I spent many an evening on a sideline either together or as opponents, which was always an enjoyable match. We also spent many an evening at meetings for soccer, had the joy of car pooling, Ray always drove which was awesome and we talked about our lives, the players and the sport. A true gentlemen, Ray Montague leaves the legacy of having coached female players, now in their 40s, who play the game with skill and with class and good sportsmanship. Ray, you will be missed. My condolences to Ray's family, I know it will be a huge loss. Lisa Sansregret - Posted by: Lisa Sansregret (soccer friend) on: Aug 23, 2023
