• I remember Anje when I attended the Brooklands Community Church. The biggest memory I have is when one time, she talked of what she witness during World War II and the tyranny of the Nazis when she was living in the Netherlands. • We met Anje & her daughter Joanne when we were a close knit group of travellers (12) going to Israel with Pastor Rudy & Gina Fidel in Nov. 2009! We had such FUN together on that trip! We were so humbled by her testimony of her & her Mom's willingness to hide Jewish people in their home during WWII in her home country of Holland (until her husband betrayed them!) She & her Mom, as many other Christians paid the price of that & were sent to the concentration camps in Germany. She survived & was eventually released but her Mother died in custody. Great will be their reward for their sacrifice for Jesus! I (Cindy) was also a fellow Woman's Aglow friend. Our deepest condolences to her family. She lived an amazing life & is free from her earthly body with its frailties & is whole & no doubt busy reuniting with family & friends who have gone on before her but mostly rejoicing at finally meeting her Lord & Saviour, Jesus Christ! While rejoicing for her, that leaves the "reality" of death here on earth for you. Our love, thoughts & prayers are with you.
