It is with the heaviest of hearts we, the family, announce the sudden passing of Jason Richard Glass at the age of 51 on June 28, 2023.

Jason leaves behind his partner Kara Colburn; his children, Hannah and Anson; their mother Lisa; Jason's mom Barbara; sister Dianna; brother Cameron (Marlee), a niece and four nephews as well as extended family and friends.

  • G was one of the good ones. Truly the reason I loved Friday ball so much. Always in the coolest band or graphic tee and the best fitting hat. Last season when I found out how old he was (and it blew my mind, didn’t look a day over 35) anytime I caught and he played 3rd I’d always bet the batter they could never guess his age right. Condolences to his family, his partner who he boasted looked as young as him too. Great guy, gone way too soon. - Posted by: Stacey (Ball friend ) on: Aug 29, 2023

  • I had the pleasure of playing rec-league ball with Jason (and Anson a couple of times!), for almost 10 years, lastly in Balmoral, MB. What a gem of a guy. So happy, always teasing & sarcastic, what a great sense of humour and so much fun to be around. Jason, will miss your ‘high socks’, good natured ribbing, your big glove in the outfield, and your heart & big smile. The MasterBatters will all miss you and remember you. Everytime I hear ‘Cracklin’ Rosie’ I’ll think of you, smile & raise a glass. Cheers buddy. Sincere condolences to all who knew and loved him. - Posted by: Liz Wilson (Friend, ball teammate) on: Aug 28, 2023

  • Condolences to the family. Jason was truly a great person, kind, a great sense of humour. The world has truly lost a great person far too soon. - Posted by: Karl Schlosser (Friend) on: Aug 27, 2023

  • So sorry to hear of his passing, I lived on the same street as Jason, he would always say hello to me and my family a very kind person my daughter went to the same High school as his son it was a shock to hear of his passing condolences to his family. - Posted by: Srecko Kriskovic (Neighbour ) on: Aug 26, 2023

  • Jason you were one of the nicest people with a pleasant disposition in life. Our sons went to daycare together and I got to know you when you would come to my place of employment to work on the sprinkler system. I know your kids were your world and they were lucky to have you if only for a little while, but I'm sure your love will be remembered by them for their lifetime. - Posted by: Alfred Sansregret (acquaintance) on: Aug 26, 2023

  • Jason, you and your brother are two of the best dads I know and now the world is missing one. Your children were your world and I will always remember you for that. I have no doubt you will continue to guide and protect them the rest of their lives. Rest in peace Jason. - Posted by: Ian Stewart (Acquaintance) on: Aug 26, 2023
