Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLARRY DAVID LAMA
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear brother and uncle on August 24, 2023, at the age of 84 years.
Larry was a competent, hard-working man who became a pipefitter at an early age. In the 1960s, he worked in Northern Manitoba on the great Hydro Electric projects that power Winnipeg and other cities today. When he returned to Winnipeg, Larry became a shop foreman for the CPR, where he supervised other tradesmen for the next 25 years.
But what Larry loved most, besides his wife Bernice and his family, was boating and fishing. In the 1980s, Larry built a cottage on the Winnipeg River and for three decades took great joy in inviting friends and family to join him at his favourite fishing place.
Bernice predeceased Larry and after her passing Larry lost his ability to walk. He then moved to the Heritage Lodge Nursing Home in Assiniboia, where he lived for several years until his death. We greatly appreciate the excellent care that the staff there provided him with.
Larry was a good, generous person, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

God’s speed Larry… Your natural honesty and kindness will not be forgotten. Hopefully the big bass will still be running along the berm! Later… - Posted by: Stan Kelly (Friend) on: Aug 27, 2023

My sincere condolences to Larry's family at this most difficult time. I had the opportunity to be a clerk for Larry in the B&B Department and he was always a pleasure to work with. We shared a lot of laughs through the years I worked with him. Rest in peace Larry!! - Posted by: Janet Ilchyna (Co -worker at CP Rail) on: Aug 27, 2023
