RANDOLPH (RANDY) SCOTT RUMMERY

May 8, 1970 - August 15, 2023

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Randy on Tuesday, August 15.

He will be deeply missed by his daughter Sydney, father Allan and sister Tracy. He leaves behind many friends and family as well as his estranged wife Carlene.

Randy graduated from Silver Heights Collegiate in 1988 and pursued his post-secondary education at both the University of Winnipeg and Red River College with studies in Political Science and Creative Communications. With his diploma in Creative Communications he landed a position with Red River College as an Academic Advisor and spent his entire career there. Randy enjoyed curling and spent many hours at the rink playing the sport he loved.

Further to his wishes, a service will not be held.

  • My heart goes out to Allan, Sydney and Tracey. Randy came into our lives 30 years ago. He was a loyal friend and our lives will never be the same. I will remember his kind, gentle and sincere ways. Missing the conversations and of course his Champ jokes. May you now rest easy my friend. - Posted by: Leila Kerr (friend) on: Aug 31, 2023

  • I met Randy when he was with the RRCSA - president as I recall. We then worked together for many years. Great guy, always upbeat and friendly. This is a very sad surprise. - Posted by: Graham Thomson (Colleague) on: Aug 29, 2023

  • I am very saddened to learn of Randy's passing. He was a super guy on and off the ice, a gentleman through and through. I probably played against him at least once every season, and it never failed, he would always make this fantastic shot worthy of TV cameras, a huge smile would come across his face and he just quietly carried on. My sincere condolences to Randy's family and friends, and his St. Vital Curling Club teammates. He has left us far too soon, he will be missed. Rest in peace Randy. - Posted by: Bradley Pisiak (curling friend) on: Aug 29, 2023
