It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nellie Van Gorp in Winnipeg on August 28, 2023 at 83 years old. She was born in Eindhoven in the Netherlands and arrived in Canada in 1954 with the rest of the Van de Mosselaer family.
She is survived by her husband Casey Sr.; her sons Casey and Trevor; her daughter-in-law Kate; her grandchildren Sophie and Ben; as well as many siblings, siblings-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Nellie was a loving wife, mother, oma, sister, and friend. She was a talented seamstress, crafter and gardener, who gave generously of herself despite her health challenges. Nellie will be missed immensely by family and friends.
A Celebration of her Life will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 10:00 a.m.
