With great sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Dorothy Treichel (Crawford) on Monday August 28, 2023 at the Emerson Personal Care Home.
Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Al in 2001; her parents, Earl and Mary Crawford and sister Edith Kitt. Left to cherish her memory are sons, Terry, Mark (Gwen); grandchildren, Kyle (Ang) and Ashley (Jason).
Mom was born on July 29, 1936 and grew up in the Stonewall area. Mom and Dad were married on April 7, 1956 and farmed in Emerson area and retired in Emerson.
The family wishes to thank the Emerson Personal Care Home for their exceptional care of mom during her time there.
Mom’s funeral will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Emerson United Church, with viewing at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Damber Kahadka officiating. Lunch will be at the Emerson Community Complex following interment at the Emerson Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Mom’s memory to the Emerson Personal Care Home, or a charity of one’s choice.

Our sincere condolences to the family. Dorothy was such a wonderful lady whose laugh was infectious and her smile would brighten anyone's day.
