It was always part of life at the lake to walk past the Birnie cabin on the way to the dock for a swim. There was always at least one Birnie girl in the water or ready for a chat. Very sad to see the end of that era but hold fond memories of Alice, her sister and mother. Alice was taken too fast and too young.
