KENNETH (KEN) KUBE

1952 - 2023

Kenneth Roger Kube, age 71 of Winnipeg, on September 7, 2023, at Concordia Hospital, peacefully passed away.

He leaves to mourn his two sons, Kyle and Tyler Kube, his previous wife Diana Kube, and his longtime partner Darlene Jordan, her son and daughter-in-law Dale and Tracy; grandsons, Blake and Brett.

He also leaves behind his brothers, Harvey (Lucy) and Ron Kube, and his sister Marlene Dick; and grandchildren, Brenon, Paris, Paxon; along with many other relatives and friends.

Ken was preceded in passing by his brother Ernie (Joan) Kube, and his father Edward Kube, born in 1910 in Ukraine, passed away in 1988, his mother Natalia Kube, passed in 2011, both of Winnipeg.

Ken worked all his life with Hydro as a Journeyman/Meterman until he retired. He enjoyed many years at his cabin or his home in Petersfield, MB, later moving back to Winnipeg for the last 20 years. During his retirement years, Ken and Darlene were able to enjoy travelling, camping and had many adventures together.

If friends and family so desire, donations may be made in his name to Harvest Manitoba or Heart & Stroke Foundation.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will happen at a later date.

A bond between a father and his sons are inexplicably bound,

and that bond isn’t severed just because Dad’s no longer around.

A son remembers his father’s words, his wisdom and his wit.

There’s never a day that ever goes by,

When the son doesn’t find use for it.

And this is how the father lives on inside the heart of his son.

Although they were parted years ago, in this way, the two live as one.
