Zinaida Mazin, 82, of Winnipeg, passed away on September 6, 2023, with family by her side.
She was born to the late Lazar and Shura Itkin, June 10, 1941, in Mogilev, Russia. After completing her studies at the University of Leningrad, Zinaida married Elya Mazin and they settled in Bobruysk, Russia. In 1980, she and her husband, along with their children, immigrated to Winnipeg, Canada.
Surviving Zinaida are her children: Tatiana Mazin of Toronto; Steve Mazin of Winnipeg. She will be sorely missed and survived by her brother Boris Itkin of Haifa, Israel. Her loving husband predeceased Zinaida in 1993.
She had a passion for travel and visited over 20 countries. Zinaida loved sharing stories, about the people she met and the history of the places she visited. Zinaida was immensely proud of her family, and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. Her chutzpah and the unwavering devotion to her family will not be forgotten.
