YOSHIO ITO

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our father, Yoshio Ito. Yoshio passed peacefully on Sunday, October 1, 2023.

Yoshio is survived by his wife of 65 years, Chizu (nee Nakata), his daughter Keri Bruce (Steve), son Todd Ito (Karen); and his two grandsons, Taylor Bruce (Bridget) and Conal Bruce. Yoshio was predeceased by his six siblings.

Yoshio was born December 4, 1930, in Eburne, British Columbia; he and his family were relocated to Manitoba in 1942. Yoshio lived happily in Winnipeg for many years, raising his family, participating in the community and running a successful construction business. Yoshio retired to British Columbia in 1996, enjoying golf, curling and other hobbies prior to his return to Winnipeg in 2020.

The family would like to thank the staff and nurses at Deer Lodge Centre for their care and support. Cremation has taken place and there will be no services held.
