George was born and raised in Campbellton, New Brunswick, where he learned the values of hard work and dedication. At the age of 17 years, he enlisted in the military, dedicating 24 years of his life to this honorable career. His military service took him to places like Egypt, Cyprus, the Black Sea, Kingston, ON, Germany, Petawawa, ON, and Shilo, MB where he forged lifelong memories.

After his military career, George embarked on a new chapter, joining the team at United Movers in Petawawa. He later worked for the Public Service DND in Shilo for 21 years, consistently demonstrating his commitment and work ethic.

George was actively involved in various organizations. As a proud member of the Brandon & District Shrine Club, he particularly enjoyed his role in the oriental band and participating in numerous parades while skillfully playing the cymbals. He was also a longstanding member of the Masonic Lodge, where he formed deep bonds with his fellow brothers. George had a passion for collecting coins and cars, and relished the camaraderie of his Tim Hortons coffee group. George loved golfing, traveling, and was an avid Wheat Kings hockey fan, holding season tickets and sharing this passion with his grandsons.
