Peacefully on 5 December 2022 at Oakview Place, with her daughter at her bedside Ruth Leduchowski (nee Gosling) passed away.

She lived a long life of 95 1/2 years.

She was fortunate to have lived in her own apartment up till December 2019, with the thankful help of Home Care.

Ruth was predeceased by her ex-husband Bill, her sons Wayne, Norman, Murray Ledd, and Brian. Survived by her youngest son Ken and only daughter Sharon Champagne.

Ruth was born in Gunton, Manitoba and grew up on a farm with her siblings who have predeceased her.

Brother, Alfred Gosling (Rose), sisters, Muriel Walowetz, Agnes Walstrom (Leonard), parents, Frederick William Gosling and Mallisa Gosling (nee Vidler).

Our mother endured hard times, but she got to enjoy her retirement years.

Thank you to the nurses and staff at Oakview Place for the difficult times during the last three years of Covid.

Final resting place to be Windsor Cemetery, Gunton, Manitoba.

Tho' I know I'll never lose affection

For people and things that went before,

I know I'll often stop and think about them,

In my life I love you more.

In my life I love you more.

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • So sorry to hear of Ruth’s passing. My mum (Eva) was friends with Ruth for a long time and we spent a lot of time with her when I was a child and teenager. Rest in Peace Ruth. - Posted by: Laurie Mark and Eva Schultz (Friend ) on: Oct 16, 2023

  • I Will remember my phone calls with granny when I would call her once a week and enjoy a few chuckles. Once she went into a nursing home I would visit when I could and call her. During covid it was hard as we couldn’t visit but I still would call her and she always had a comical comment to make. I know it was hard when my granny lost her 4 sons. At least she still had her son Ken and her daughter Sharon. (My mother). I’m thankful for the nursing home that took care of her. My mom who visited her and brought her supplies. Her friend Jean who was in the nursing home too and would see granny when she could. Jean and my granny were close friends, sadly Jean had passed away too before my granny. I know they are both in heaven now and that makes me smile. Granny is with her sons and other loved ones she has lost. I take comfort in knowing they are all together. Rest In Peace Granny. You are still in our heart. Love granddaughter Candice and my husband Ty. Xoxo - Posted by: Candice Champagne Nguyen (Granddaughter ) on: Oct 14, 2023
