EMILIA PRZADKIEWICZ

April 3, 1928 - October 14, 2023

Surrounded by the love of her family, Emilia passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 95.

Emilia was born in Markowa, Poland on April 3, 1928. With the invasion of Poland in 1939, she was exiled from her home and country as a child, ultimately settling in Canada and was reunited with her brother in Winnipeg.

In 1954 Emilia met and married Frank, creating a loving home; they celebrated 61 years of marriage before his passing in 2015. Emilia was a member of Holy Ghost Parish since coming to Canada and was an active member of the Catholic Women’s League. Emilia enjoyed being outdoors, tending her gardens and working around her home; she spent countless hours crafting needlepoint art and crochet work. In later years Emilia enjoyed watching classic movies and Lawrence Welk reruns.

Left to mourn Emilia’s passing are sons, George and Henry (Bruce Meisner).

Emilia was the youngest of ten children and was the last surviving member of her family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 20, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave., Winnipeg, MB. Prayers and viewing will be held one-half hour prior to the Mass. Interment will follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery, 4387 Main Street.
