DARLENE HERON
Darlene Heron passed away peacefully, at the age of 80, on Saturday, October 21, 2023, after a hard-fought battle with cancer. No matter how sick she was, Darlene's determination, perseverance and resilience were always present. When anyone else would have broken, Darlene stayed strong.
To know Darlene was to be witness to the true strength of spirit. Darlene lived each day of her life with conviction, wrapped in the love of her family. Darlene was a woman who knew what she wanted from life, and lived it with a fierce independence. Her life was an example of hard work, faith, and the appreciation of family.
Darlene was predeceased by her husband Bill, and although her family grieves her loss, they take comfort in knowing that they are together once again. She is survived by her children, Mark and Penny, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her siblings.
In lieu of flowers, Darlene's family asks that donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. There will be an interment in the spring at the Brandon Cemetery.
