BENJAMIN FOSTER NEIGHBOUR

August 19,1943 - October 23, 2023

Benjamin Foster Neighbour was born at home in the municipality of North Cypress to his parents of Benjamin Frank Neighbour and Myrtle Irene Harburn Neighbour and was raised alongside his eight brothers and sisters. Ben attended school at Carberry, Arden and Moore Park. There he met Bonnie Outhwaite in Justice and in 1966 they married and began their married life in Estevan. While in Estevan they welcomed their eldest daughter Jeanne. In April 1968 they returned to Justice to live and work on the family farm until October 2023. In 1969 Kathy was born and in 1971 Jerri and Jacki completed their family.

A welder by trade but his true passion was cattle farming. Ben worked at Brown Steel in Brandon for 18 years where he met many lifelong friends. In addition to cattle farming you could always find a horse or two roaming around. Ben loved nothing more than horseback riding, going on trail rides and sitting on the deck enjoying a cold beer with family and friends.

Ben always enjoyed going on a road trip. Some of his favourites were a trip to Australia, and an Alaskan cruise and a Caribbean cruise and Walt Disney World with family. Ben enjoyed getting in the car and just going on a random road trip with no set plans.

He is survived by his wife Bonnie of 57 years, 4 daughters, Jeanne (Rich) Zwiep, Kathy (Delwyn) Neufeld, Jacki (Darren) Giilck, Jerri (Mark) Adamski, 13 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and many extended family and friends. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Ben’s life will take place in the Victoria Inn, Brandon on Friday, November 3 at 2:00 p.m. Please join us.
