Carrol passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at the Brandon Regional Hospital.

She was born October 20,1960, the fifth and youngest child to parents, George and Anne Ariss of Crandall, MB. In 1973 Carrol and her parents moved from the Crandall farm to Virden and Carrol attended Kinsmen School. Here she made new friends and enhanced her life skills. Carrol was always happy. She loved music, animals, the outdoors, swimming, camping, bingo, playing cards, car rides and any trip that ended with a cool drink of Coke was a favourite. She loved visits from family and friends and was often heard to say, “I love you!”

In 1985 Carrol moved to Brandon with her parents and in 1987 she travelled to BC with her mom where she visited Gibsons, location of her favourite TV show, The Beachcombers.

Carrol was predeceased by brother Donnie in 1964, father George in 1996, mother Anne in 2023, brother-in-law Ken Stephenson in 2015 and sister-in-law Sherry Ariss in 2020.

She is survived by her brother Gerald Ariss, sisters, Edith Stephenson and Hazel (Mike) Rudniski and their families. Also, a large extended family of four aunts, one uncle and cousins.

Carrol’s family wish to thank the many staff of Brandon Community Options who have provided support and friendship to Carrol over the past 30 years.

Special thanks is extended to Joyce Ringland, whose love and support has meant so much to Carrol and her family over many years.
