Bob Friesen passed away peacefully on October 27, 2023 at Kin Place, Oakbank at the age of 79. Bob was born on September 15, 1944.
Bob will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Irene and daughter, Maureen (Ron) and son, Guy; grandchildren, Jaylene and Cayden and step-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents, Isbrand and Christine Friesen; five siblings; in-laws, Mike, Mary and Bob W. He leaves with his memory sister, Joyce (Gerry); in-laws, John (Ruth), Joy, Janet (Glen), Shirley (Bob) and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
He met and married Irene in 1968. He was a devoted and loving husband. He worked as a mechanic retiring from Able Movers Ltd. Grandchildren were a special joy for Papa and he was always taking them out to find critters or snuggle on the couch. Bob was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Bob spent 50 years camping at Big Whiteshell Lake with family where he made many long-time friends. We will all miss his laughter and wisdom. Family would like to thank the staff at Kin Place for their care in the last years of Bob’s life.
A celebration of Bob’s life will be held on Monday, November 6, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day Street.

We met Bob & Irene at the Big Whiteshell many years ago & enjoyed many campfires & hikes & meals around the campfire with lots of laughs & good times. Bob enjoyed the outdoors as much as all of us campers.
