BOB LEBARRON
We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Bob LeBarron.
He passed away peacefully at the Kelowna General Hospital on October 29, 2023, after a catastrophic stroke. He was surrounded by his wife, Patti LeBarron and daughters, Jaime, Kacie, and Emma, as well as other close family and friends, each of whom were honoured to be with him in his final hours.
Bob was born and raised in Brandon, Manitoba, October 27, 1953. He was the fourth of five children born to Orville and Emma LeBarron. Bob worked in Brandon before he settled on a career in the RCMP. He worked for 30 plus year in various places in British Columbia, including, Creston, Courtney, Quesnel, and Midway, with his final posting being in Armstrong.
It was in Courtenay that he met the love of his life, Patti. From there they had many wonderful adventures in various places and raised their family.
Bob retired in Armstrong and enjoyed his retirement years there. He has many friends that will remember his open garage, dog walks, good times on the golf course, and motorcycle rides. Bob was the happiest when he was surrounded by his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Bob always had a joke and was well-liked in many communities, due to his long RCMP career. His jovial and fun personality will be fondly remembered. There will be a celebration of life at the Legion in Armstrong from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m., Sunday, November 19, funny stories encouraged.

I am so sorry to hear about Bob’s passing. I grew up in Red Deer Alberta but our family visited the LeBarrons every summer! Got to see him as an adult a few times over the years. The last time my sister, Judy and I saw him on a visit to Armstrong a few years ago. He was the same Bob that we knew growing up! So sorry for your loss!!❤️❤️😘😘 - Posted by: Sharen Whitburn (Cousin) on: Nov 15, 2023

Bob and I went to school together and had many fun times as East End kids. Will always be remembered for his love of life. I had left Brandon in 71 to join the RCMP and did no know Bob had done the same later. I ran into him at a hockey tournament and it was great to renew that friendship. We never did cross paths with work but I heard his name a few times and always in the highest regard from anyone who worked with him. - Posted by: Jim Carkener (friend) on: Nov 12, 2023

I got to know Bob in Brandon in the mid seventies. Helluva sense of humor! Then I even made a road trip to Creston to visit him when he was stationed there. Just a great guy!! Always a laugh or two with him. Gone too soon. Condolences to the family - Posted by: GREG M CHOMICA (Friend) on: Nov 11, 2023
