With broken hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Janice on October 3, 2023 at the age of 53, with her family by her side. Left to cherish her memory are husband Djon, daughter Jessica, stepchildren Ingrid (Cory) and family, Christopher, sister Judy (Carlos), niece Raquel, and many extended family and friends. She was predeceased by parents James and Mary, and parents-in-law Hans and Ingeborg. Janice was born and raised in Winnipeg's West End, where she lovingly welcomed and raised her daughter. She later moved to Prawda, MB where she, Djon, and Jessica made a beautiful life together.
Janice took pride in her flower gardens and enjoyed a glass of wine by the fire. Her dog Riley was like her shadow. Camping was a favourite pastime, and she enjoyed many excursions. She moved back to Winnipeg in 2017 to be closer to her family, where she and Djon settled in the Silver Heights area. She was Jessica's mommy, Djon's sugarplum, and my little sis. Rest in Peace our beloved Janice. Cremation has taken place and a private family gathering will be held at a later date.

I am so shocked and incredibly saddened to hear this news. I first met Janice when she came to work at Lions Place. We were always laughing at something; making the work environment so much fun. it didn’t take very long for us to form a friendship. My sincere condolences to her family.
