Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBARBARA ANN SNIDER
We regret to announce the sudden passing of Barbara at the University of Alberta Hospital, Edmonton.
Originally from Winnipeg, she moved to Alberta and started a family. Barbara was a loving mother and wife who always enjoyed her home life, with a flair and talent for cooking and decorating. She also loved the company of and caring for her several pets over the years, but none more than the last, her rescued Old English Sheepdog, Walter (Wally).
In recent years, health issues were a concern, but Barbara recovered sufficiently to continue with a happy life and pursuit of her pleasures, including seeking out vintage and antique items at boutiques, markets and nurseries, adding to the decor and warmth of her home, particularly during the festive seasons.
She will be greatly missed by her husband Rick, sons, Jesse (Marilou), Riley (Leah) and granddaughters, Cassandra and Anna.
Cremation has taken place, there will be no service.

It is so hard to say goodbye to Barb. She was a candle and spark that ignited all of us at some point. Barb was a welcome friend to many and when you were in her company you always had a better day. Barb was always full of positive energy and smiling. Since learning of her passing I have been filled with wonderful memories of her and Rick during the years that I was fortunate enough to know them. She has left us too soon and it is our loss. I hope that her sons, Jesse and Riley and their families have many happy memories of Barb. My condolences to Rick and his family. - Posted by: frank bryant (friend) on: Dec 17, 2023

We just learned today that Barb has passed. Our hearts go out to all of you. This is such a hard loss. Though we haven’t been in touch for many years owing to the geography we will always remember the great times when we were neighbours in Winnipeg. Always such fun in her company and yours. Lots of laughs. Barb’s flair for making a house a home made evenings at your place special. Barb dove into her life and work with enthusiasm. She was all in. We will remember her with fondness. Rick. We were both so sorry to hear this news. With Love, Ryan and Steina. - Posted by: Steinunn Bessason (Friends) on: Dec 09, 2023
