Cassandra (Cassie) Elizabeth Zaretski, 41 years old, of Oakbank, MB, passed away on November 22, 2023, after a difficult battle with Cancer.
Born February 10, 1982, Cassie earned a degree in Social Work and pursued an 18-year career as a Police Officer with the Winnipeg Police Service.
Cassie was predeceased by her father, Joe in 2015. She is survived by her husband, Evan Murray, mother, Pat, sisters, Jennifer, Carolyn (Tim Arseneault), brother Joe (Anna), nieces, Alexis and Addison (Arseneault), Emma and nephew Aiden.
A celebration of Cassie’s life will be held at the North Kildonan Mennonite Brethren Church, 1315 Gateway Rd., at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 30, 2023.

I worked with Cassie intermittently through the years as part of the WPS and City of Wpg. Community Services VPU. Cassie had a unique set of skills in dealing with people with a mix of caring , respect and gentle no nonsense, that made people not only listen and take her advice to heart but also elicit respect.
