MARLENE JOYCE WARD

(nee SAFINIUK)

March 18, 1948 - November 8, 2023

With profound sadness we announce the passing of Marlene Joyce Ward; caring, gentle mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

She had a special place in her heart for her children and grandchildren: Aaron and Aida, their daughters, Veronica and Victoria; Ryan and Elena, their sons, Conor and Jonah; and Mark and Paula, and their sons, Jesse and Taylor.

You will forever be missed and we will cherish the wonderful memories of you.

A memorial service will be held at Glen Eden Funeral Home (4477 Main Street) on December 7, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will occur at a later date on St. Joseph’s Island, Ontario.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba.

Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • My sincerest condolences to the entire family. Marlene and I grew up in the same neighbourhood and went through all 12 grades together. While I only saw her infrequently after high school as our lives took different directions, I will always remember her fondly. - Posted by: Carleen MacKay (Friend) on: Dec 01, 2023

  • We are sorry to hear about Marlene's passing. Sending our sincere condolences to all the families during this difficult time. I hope you can find strength and comfort, though . We hadn't t seen her for many years . Although one thing comes to mind, she had my brother Tim and myself in her wedding party . Rest in peace - Posted by: Rose (Cousin) on: Nov 25, 2023
