Peacefully on September 30, 2023, Laura passed away in Winnipeg at the age of 86 years old.
Laura was predeceased by her husband Bill Philip. She will be loving remembered by her family and her dear friend Connie. Rest in Peace Laura.

My dear wonderful 'sister'has passed on. We will all miss her deeply for the wonderful things she did in her life. She certainly changed my life by 'adopting' me and showing me a new way of life here in Canada. I will be forever grateful to her and to Ma and Pa for taking me under their wings. Laura certainly had an interesting life of wide-ranged world travels & adventures back in the days. The stories she & hubby Bill related were always entertaining and frequently hilarious of their encounters in those times. It was a privilege to be friends with them both and their beloved family. My husband and I also shared the many diverse & scattered friends & colleagues Laura and I treasured through the University of Manitoba community.
