HELEN FRANCES DOLSKI

(nee SHARBY)

April 18, 1934 - November 28, 2023

On Tuesday, November 28, 2023 our dearest Mother, Helen Frances Dolski (nee Sharby) exhaled her final breath and left those she so dearly loved.
Helen was born in Winnipeg on April 18, 1934 to parents John and Katherine (nee Winzinowich) Shcherbaty.
Our mother Helen was raised in a loving family with her siblings, John, Eleanor, Tom (Helen) and Dianne (Ken).
Helen is survived by children, Debbie, Gary (Diane) and Derek (Sherry); her sister-in-law Nettie Dolski and loving nieces, nephews and dear cousins.
Mom was predeceased by her ex-husband, Edward Dolski, the father of her children; brother, John and a precious grandson Timothy.
Mom spent her whole life in Winnipeg, a city she loved.
After completing high school, Mom worked for the Federal Government in Winnipeg, Revenue Canada and Shoppers Drug Mart.
Helen was a stay-at-home mom and lovingly raised us to be loving, compassionate, honest and to always put our best foot forward.
Helen was also a proud Grandmother to her Granddaughters, Megan (Riley), Hannah and Jaclyn.
Mom lived a good life and has left many loving memories behind with her family and many dear friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, December 4, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street.
Our family sincerely thanks Mom’s doctors, Dr. T. Backick, Dr. A. Babick, Dr. Penner and staff at Riverview Health Centre, 2 West.
Donations in Helen's memory can be made to The Childrens Hospital, Riverview Health Centre, 1 Morley Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba or to a charity of one’s choice.

  • Helen was a ray of sunshine to staff and customers at Shoppers Drug Mart in Garden City. Unflappable, so very kind, and always smiling, she was a positive influence on me and on all who worked with her. My sincerest condolensces to her family and friends. --Tracey Block - Posted by: Tracey Block (Work colleague) on: Dec 07, 2023

  • I lived just down the street from Helen. No matter how much of a hurry I’d be in, I’d always stop and say hello to her and chat for a few minutes, she would always ask “how are the dogs doing?” She was always cheerful, gonna miss her. She reminded me of my mom, same name and all. Rest well dear Helen, you will always be missed and never forgotten. - Posted by: Charles (Friend/neighbor) on: Dec 07, 2023

  • My deepest sympathy to Helen's family. I worked with Helen at Shoppers. She was so kind and caring to me. Always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. My thoughts and prayers are with all dear Helen's family. - Posted by: Wendy Mestrovic (Friend) on: Dec 06, 2023

  • We were greatly saddened to read of Helen’s passing.
