BRIAN HAROLD FORTESCUE


It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Brian who left us peacefully on Sunday, December 17, 2023, surrounded by family.



Brian was born February 6, 1951, and grew up on the family farm in Springfield. In his early teens he moved to Transcona and after high school started work as a Carman at CN Rail.



He had a passion for hockey, watching football and especially going to Grey Cup games, as well as creative interests, sketching, painting, and cooking.



Brian enjoyed spending time with his family and leaves to mourn brother Randy (Lee), sisters, Judy (Dick), Darlene (Paul), Sandra (Grant) and Donna and was predeceased by his parents, Alex, Catherine, brothers, Donnie, Cameron and sister Debbie.



He will lovingly be remembered for his kindness, wit and determination.



The service is on January 20, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Home, 1800 Day Street.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Winnipeg Humane Society in his honour.

Funeral will be held January 20, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Home on 1800 Day Street.
