DENNIS GEORGE SPENCE

December 25, 1945- December 24, 2023

It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Dennis passed away on December 24th from complications following pulmonary surgery.

He will be missed by his wife of 52 years, Doreen; their two children, Kelly Luke (Brent) and Brian (Karen); his grandchildren, Evan, Ryan, Lauren and Leah, and his sister Barb (John Hockman) and many other friends and relatives.

Dennis was born and raised in Winnipeg. He worked as an accountant for Manitoba Hydro for 35 years. During his retirement, Dennis stayed busy curling, golfing, playing baseball and going for weekly bike rides with his Hydro friend Harold. He was also an avid reader of history books. He loved the Blue Bombers and Winnipeg Jets and the TV was always tuned to TSN. Dennis' love for accounting meant he eagerly awaited tax season. He worked every spring at Liberty Tax Service.

He was a very proud and involved Papa with his grandchildren. He loved nothing more than attending their various concerts and sporting events. Dennis was a kind, gentle man and it was a life well lived. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
