BATTISTA SACCO
It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Battista Sacco on Monday, December 25, 2023, after a brief battle with cancer.
Battista leaves behind to mourn his sons, Tony (Susan), Domenic (Lynette), Joe (Jennifer) and Gino; grandchildren, Elisa, Madison, Sophie, Khloe, Gracey and Livio; siblings, Giuseppe, Domenico and Antonietta.
Battista was predeceased by his beloved wife Elisa; parents, Antonio and Rosa; siblings, Domenico, Carmela, Ida, Luigino and grandchild Rachel.
Battista lovingly known as “Bob” was born in San Mango D’aquino, Italy in 1940 and immigrated to Canada in 1964 followed later by Elisa marrying in June 1966 and began his family.
Battista was a proud cabinet maker and went on to open his own successful company Sacco Custom Cabinets which he worked in for decades building lifelong friendships with his customers. Battista instilled in his children the values of hard work and being true to your word.
Battista was never happier than when his grandchildren arrived and cherished them with love and generosity.
Our father was a true family man, always there for us whenever needed, always smiling, sarcastic and joking with his boys. He gave us a lifetime of love and memories which we will never forget.
The family has chosen to celebrate a private mass. If so, desired a donation to CancerCare MB can be made in lieu of flowers.

To the Sacco sons: we had the opportunity to meet your father Battista (Bob) through our sister-in-law Dennise. When ever we would be together, we enjoyed his company. He was a gentleman and had a really unique sense of humor. We could listen to him speak for hours using his Italian accent, He gave us some excellent gardening tips. He was truly happy that Dennise had been a companion in his last few years. REST IN PEACE BATTISTA. - Posted by: Ken and Linda Stewart (friend) on: Dec 31, 2023
