Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM FRANK LITSCHKE
William died peacefully with his beloved wife, Bernice, at his side.
He was predeceased by his parents, Karl and Tamara Litschke, and brother-in-law Nate MacIntosh. Left to mourn are Bernice, his loving wife of 26 years, his son Gregory Litschke and sister Annemarie MacIntosh, along with nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins and friends.
William grew up in Winnipeg’s north end and, as a youth, played soccer, hockey and football. He later coached community club football for his son’s team. William retired from MacDon Industries three years ago. Fishing was a lifetime’s favourite pastime. He will be missed most of all for his kind, patient demeanour and his rarely used but often surprising sense of humour.
Always in my heart. Love you forever, Duck.
Cremation has taken place and a private memorial service will be held at a later date to be determined.
If desired, donations may be made in William’s name to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada - Manitoba Division.

Where do you start. Willi and I were, in my estimation, great friends. We loved playing soccer together with Germania soccer club. Travelling together to annual tournaments in Thunder Bay, Minneapolis and other locales. We travelled together to work for years at Versatile farm machine then Bristol aerospace. He always put in a good word for me to allow me to get a foot in the door. He was a true friend. I was so honoured when he asked me to be his best man at his wedding. I too had him as my best man as there was no one I would rather have. I was so blessed to have had Willi in my life, Rest In Peace my friend. Deepest Condolences to Bernice, Gregory and Annemarie. - Posted by: Randy Wiebe (Friend ) on: Feb 19, 2024

My condolences to Williams' family. Seeing Willies' obituary a few days ago gave me the chance to reminisce and wanting to share a few words about this fine man. Willie to me was an athlete with a true positive disposition an energy force to be reconded with. He won the Buzz Horn trophy for sportsmanship while attending Faraday school. He played football for St. Johns High School. I was, as many of us where there. He was the best. A good friend with a passion and a gift. The last time I saw him, he was jogging with a group of fellows over the old Salter street Bridge circa 1985. I was on my bicycle with my 3 year old son in tow heading north he heading south. We smiled and nodded. He padded me on the shoulder as he ran by, off to continue the day. It was good to see him again. We all went our own ways, focused on living, slipping on life's proverbial ice on occation swatting mosquitoes and sailing against the wind. Finding love having family, growing pains, adjustments, creating history and enduring in the end. Rest in peace William. It was good to know you. - Posted by: David Wear (Friend) on: Jan 01, 2024

So very sorry for your loss. Willie and I spent many days in our youth hanging out together as well as many years playing soccer together as youths with St. Josephs and later with Germaniana.
