Rita passed away suddenly on the morning of Thursday, December 28, 2023, at St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 62 years.
She will be lovingly remembered by her beloved husband Ted, daughter Vanessa, as well as family and friends.

My condolences to the Fandych family, my thoughts are with you all, during this very sad time. I will always remember my best friend, Rita, in our younger years in Beausejour and Lac du Bonnet area, the fun, laughter and great times. I will never forget, her white chevy car that burned more oil than gas. The Fargo truck we would take from her brother Dolph and he would have to phone the countryside trying to find us. I often talk so many times of my Rita Days and will always be my most memorable best times! Forty years ago, a half dollar bill, I still have in my wallet, when we both ripped in half and said to each other, we will keep, reminding us of our good friendship.
