Robert "Bob" Nicolas Kay, 73, of Winnipeg, Manitoba passed away suddenly on December 7, 2023. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, he was the son of the late Peter Nicholas Kay and the late Helen Joan Kay (nee Gutray).
Bob became a Priest in the Polish National Church. He met the love of his life and wife, the late Eva Barbara Kay (nee Lyjak). To better support his young family, Bob pivoted his career to a letter carrier with Canada Post. When he retired from Canada Post, he became a full time Priest at the Polish National Catholic Church of St. Mary's. He was a thoughtful, kind, generous man who would have given you the shirt off his back. He will be deeply and sorely missed.
He is survived by his two daughters, Nicole (James) Whiteway and their two children, Willow and Evan; Justine Kay; his sister Joanne (Richard) Kresky and their two daughters, Lisa (Jeff) Kresky-Griffin: Michelle (Patty) Kresky and their son Ethan.
Funeral mass will be at the Polish National Church of St. Mary's, 365 Burrows Avenue, Winnipeg, MB on Saturday January 20, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. with a reception to follow in the basement of the church.
Donations in Bob's memory can be made to the Polish National Church of St. Mary's.
