Johnson, Edwin Christie of Brandon, Manitoba, passed away suddenly Sunday, December 31, 2023 at the Peter Lougheed Centre Calgary, Alberta. He was 81 years old. He will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, Sharron; daughter, Susan (Aryan); grandchildren, Olive and Ruby of Vancouver, BC; son, Shane (Emma); grandchildren, Jolie and Jonah of Newtownards, Northern Ireland; sister, Carolyn Dillistone of Winnipeg, MB; and his nieces, nephews, and brothers and sister’s in-law. Chris was predeceased by his parents, E.P. (Ted) and Margaret B. Johnson. In accordance with his wishes no formal service will be held. Family will be gathering this summer to commemorate his life.

So very sorry to hear about Chris. We've been Clear Lake neighbors since we were toddlers and it just won't be the same without him there each summer. The memory of Chris that sticks out in my mind the most was when we were about 12 or so, he and two chums built a 'raft' down by the lakeshore. When they were done, they hopped on, pushed off with a long pole, yelled "Damn the torpedoes! Full speed ahead!' and the thing slowly sank right there. I still picture it in my mind.
