Passed away at the Bayside Personal Care Home, Killarney, MB, on Friday, January 12, 2024 at the age of 85 years, Albert Tytgat, of Killarney, MB, formerly of Winnipeg, MB.
Due to dementia, Albert spent the last few years of his life in the Bayside personal care home where he received excellent and loving care and attention from the staff. He was happy living there. It was good for him to receive this care.
When he was the resident manager at the condo in Winnipeg, he was particularly attentive to the comfort and wellbeing of elderly people residing there.
Albert is survived by his caring wife, Dorothy (Christopherson), sister Yvonne (Gilbert) Laberge of St. Boniface MB, brother Roger (Nicole) Tytgat, of Winnipeg, MB, estranged son and daughter, as well as extended family. He was predeceased by his parents and by three sisters.
Cremation has taken place and, as per Albert’s wish, no service will be held.
Friends that so wish, memorial donations can be made in Albert’s memory to a charity of choice, or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Dear Dorothy and family, I just heard about Albert’s passing and wish to send my deepest sympathy and sincere condolences for your loss. I enjoyed the few visits I had with him and in my heart have cherished memories since childhood. I live in a different province now so it took time for me to learn of his passing. May he rest peacefully with our Heavenly Lord. Cousin Linda Epp (Hrankowski). - Posted by: Linda Epp (Cousin) on: Feb 19, 2024
