ROBERT R. LAU
It is with deep regret that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved cousin, Robert R. Lau, on January 17, 2024.
Robert's parents preceded him in death many years ago, and he remained unmarried throughout his life. In his youth, he excelled in bowling, winning numerous trophies. An avid reader and movie enthusiast, Robert possessed a friendly, humourous, and caring nature.
Born in Hong Kong on December 26, 1949, Robert came to Canada after middle school to pursue his education at Brandon University. Upon graduation, he secured employment with the Manitoba Government. Later, his parents also moved to Canada to reside with him. After many years of dedicated service, Robert eventually retired.
Cremation has been completed at the Alterna Cremation Winnipeg, and his ashes will find their final resting place at the Serene Gardens of Gethsemani Cemetery in Surrey, British Columbia, alongside his parents.
Robert's memory will forever be cherished by his loving cousins, friends, and former colleagues. May he find eternal peace in the embrace of God.
A private church service will be held at a later date.
