It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear brother Robert, known as Rob to his family and friends, on January 10, 2024 at his home on Gabriola Island, BC.
Born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Robert attended Earl Grey School until his family moved to Fort Whyte where he attended Fort Whyte school and later Shaftesbury High school. He completed a carpentry course at Red River College.
As a young man, he moved to British Columbia where he spent his adult life on Gabriola Island, where he established his business as a carpenter, and as a pool and pond designer and installer.
He was a valued member of the community and will be greatly missed.
Robert was preceded by his parents, William Albin in 2001 and Evelin Francis in 2007; his brother-in-law Ernie Muth in 2011.
He leaves to mourn his passing his sisters, Brenda (Steve), Joan, Carol Muth, Adele, Christine (Lindsay), and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Internment to take place at a later date in Brookside Cemetery.
