It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Michael Dmetro Chmil on January 30, 2024 at the age of 67 years.
Michael is survived by his wife Carol; daughter Jennifer and fiancé Andrew Stupak; son Kevin and his fiancée Melissa Salazar; brother Joseph Chmil; sisters, Mary Shewchuk, Ann Kon, Olga Twerdun and husband Leon, Pauline Byra and husband Dan, and Nellie Milligan. Also, numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will take place on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, Winnipeg. A private family interment will take place.

I'm so sorry to have just learned of Mike's passing. Mike and his crew (including son Kevin) have done several small custom jobs for me over many years. I always enjoyed my chats with Mike, discussing my jobs, hearing how his work was going, what other jobs they were working on at the time, etc. He always had time to discuss the details. Carol and family. I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your husband. I just heard today from my sister-in-law Terry about his passing. I met Mike through a referral from a friend who did business with him and his company. I needed some custom work done for the ministry I am a part of. Mike was always courteous and gracious.
