NORVAL ARTHUR MORE

1923 - 2024

Norval was born at NW 10-05-22 W1 on March 17, 1923. He died on February 12, 2024, in Souris PCH. Norval was predeceased by his wife Joyce (Porter), his parents, Artie and Fanny More, his brothers and wives Alex (Dorothy), Ossie (Verona) and Claire, his brothers-in-law Geordie (Irene) and Bruce, his second Joyce -Joyce Betker, and his daughter-in-law Jo-Ann. He is survived by his children Colleen (Frank), Leslie (Dave) and Greg, 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren and sister-in-law Orma Porter.

Norval said "I’ve had a really good life. I wouldn’t change a thing!" The changes in the world that he witnessed and adapted to were amazing. He was a farmer through and through and loved nothing better than being in the field.

He knew many people and each one has a memory special to them. It could be his laughter, teasing, telling jokes, pranks or visiting. We will cherish our memories even when the love for him leaks out of our eyes.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Souris Fellowship Club, box 996, Souris, MB, R0K 2C0, Souris-Glenwood Library, box 518, Souris, MB, R0K 2C0, or charity of your choice.

Thank you from Norval More’s family for the care and friendship he received at Souris Personal Care Home. Thank you to Dr. Cram for looking after him in PCH and during this difficult time. Colleen, Leslie and Greg and our families.

  • Norval was a man of few words and a gentleman in the true sense of the word, with a tremendous sense of humor who was also known as a prankster by all who knew him. He will be missed. Rest in peace my friend. - Posted by: bill and sheila kirkup (friends) on: Feb 15, 2024
