NADIA TKACH
Nadia passed away peacefully on February 13, 2024 in Dauphin Regional Health Centre.
Nadia is survived by her husband John, children, Douglas (Deanna), Robert, Carol Davis (Anthony); grandchildren, Ivan, Tyrell, Isabel, Jordyn, and brother David Urbanowski (Lesia); nephews, Kevin (daughter Kaitlin) and Barry (Michelle). She is predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Nellie; brother Garry and grandchildren, Emily and Samuel.
Nadia was the oldest of three siblings, growing up in Pine River before becoming a teacher and moving to Winnipegosis. She married the love of her life in 1964, and moved to Dauphin where they spent the rest of their lives together.
Nadia’s family thanks the emergency room physicians and staff, nurses and health care aides on the medicine/palliative care unit of the Dauphin Regional Health Centre for their care and compassion, as well as Father Michel for his support during Nadia’s final days.
Funeral Liturgy will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024, with Rosary at 9:30 a.m. led by Ukrainian Catholic Choir, and Liturgy at 10:00 a.m. at the Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Resurrection in Dauphin.
This Liturgy will be live streamed for those who cannot attend. Private interment will follow.
Should friends so desire, donations in memory of Nadia may be made to the Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Resurrection and the Dauphin Hospital Foundation.
