Peacefully on January 30, 2024, Murray passed away at his home in Winnipeg at the age of 68, predeceased by his brother Brian and his parents, Lillian and Clarence.
He is survived by first cousins, June Markwart, Roy Markwart, Joy Plohman, Pearl Plohman, Rose (Plohman) Wares, John Plohman and Marianne Friesen. "Big Murray" as he was fondly known by some, had friends far and wide and kept regular and frequent contact with many. Murray was always willing to help a friend or someone in need, and always willing to listen. He was well respected by his work colleagues for his fairness and support of those who worked for him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
