GEORGE DANELAK

February 12, 1936—March 4, 2024

It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we announce Dad’s sudden passing.

George was predeceased by his Wife Sonia, Parents John and Helen Danelak and Sister Domia Derkach.

Dad is survived by his son Harvey (Lisa), brother Bodan (Bud) (Sharon) Danelak and sisters Olga (Alfred) Scheffler and Jean (Steve) Fuz.

Dad was a devoted Husband and Father. His passion for farming was a driving force for his entire life, up to his last day. He enjoyed family and farming, hand in hand. A family camping trip could be an opportunity to go farm equipment shopping.

Dad had many close friends. He enjoyed visiting, playing cribbage, ice fishing and music. Boxing Day at Larry’s place was something he looked forward to. A good joke or a funny story was always welcome.

Dad enjoyed travelling with Mom. Trips to Las Vegas, Mexico, Dominican Republic, and Aruba, just to name a few. These were some of the things he really enjoyed.

This year he was recognized for being a Member of the Canadian Seed Growers Association for 55 years.

He was a proud man who expected himself to do the best he could in everything he did.

Our family would like to thank everyone for the support they have shown us at this difficult time. A special thank you goes out to our boys and Kevin and Kristen Stocki for stepping up in the final moments of Dad’s life. Your courage and compassion will always be appreciated and never forgotten.

Dad you will be missed and remembered every day.
