  • I met Leon about a year ago, in the hospital where he was getting dialysis, we would always say hi to each other and I would stop and have a chat with him and it is then we found out we where cousins, that my uncle was his grandfather, and after that we would always say to each other good morning cuz. I will miss him and our chats, my deepest condolences to his Family. - Posted by: Annie Loane (Cousin ) on: Mar 28, 2024

  • I met Leon when we were 14 years old. His family lived on Magnus Ave. And we lived a block over on Manitoba. In grade 9 we won the city fastball championship for Isaac Newton JH. Leon was our pitcher, and no one could hit him. We practiced against Leon, and could therefore hit anyone else. He was so good he was already playing senior ball in the evening. A great guy always smiling and laughing. Lost touch after school, but always remembered him . RIP - Posted by: Rob Humniski (Childhood friend ) on: Mar 26, 2024

  • I met Leon and the Johnston family through fastball, Lord Selkirk Park, I played fastball with Leon and his brothers and then coached him, a truly great fastball pitcher. My condolences to all Leon's family and friends, cherish the memories he levs behind, R.I.P. my friend. - Posted by: mickey steen (ffamily friend and through fastball) on: Mar 26, 2024
