Daniel passed away peacefully, with his parents by his side, on Sunday, March 24.
As a young boy, he accepted Jesus into his heart. He attended Springs Christian Academy, and Springs Church and volunteered in the Media department. He played soccer, hockey, and basketball. Daniel was known to be out and about in the winter wearing shorts and sipping on a Slurpee. He loved going to the movies and watching TV shows, including a recent appreciation of the “Golden Girls”.
Daniel enjoyed watching many sports, especially the Detroit Red Wings, much to his dad’s chagrin, and the Dallas Cowboys, even going to Texas with his dad to watch them play at the new stadium.
Daniel was a big fan of Trivia Nights, board games, music, and going to Folkorama, even meeting some of the performers. He was a lover of cats, which began with his first childhood cat, Thomas.
You never knew what creative hairstyles Daniel would have next. He could be seen with any of the following, a brush cut, Mohawk, mullet, and a variety of colours. Sometimes red for the Red Wings and blue for the Cowboys. Let’s not forget the variety of facial hair.
Daniel worked at Prairie Research Associates for the past 20 years where he made many friends.
Daniel will be missed by all who knew and loved him, especially his parents, Tim and Barb, sister Beverley and her family, sister Cheryl and her daughter Jasmine, Grandma Pratt, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Many thanks to the doctors and nurses at Health Sciences Centre for their amazing and compassionate care of our son.
Celebration of Life service will be held at Springs Church on Wednesday, April 3 at 1:00 p.m. at 725 Lagimodiere Blvd. Pastor Jeff Romas will officiate.

Barb and Tim, I'm deeply saddened to hear of Daniel's passing. Helen sent me a message to let me know. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
