JAYE JACOBSON

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the peaceful passing of Jaye Jacobson. We sadly lost her at South Health Campus, Calgary, AB, on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at the age of 74 years. She was surrounded by the love of her family.

Jaye battled a roller coaster of health conditions over the past several years and rebounded with strength, grace, determination, wit, humour, and a positive outlook, which was a small snapshot of Jaye’s beautiful character and soul. Those who knew her loved her for her kindness, generosity, and big heart, which despite her determination eventually gave out on her and she is now at peace. Not only was she the ultimate mom to her own two daughters, but was a mom to many, and always had an open door with open arms.

Jaye was predeceased by her mom and dad, Velma and Vionell Jacobson; and her partner Stan Livingston. She is survived by her two daughters, Nici (Terry, Baylee, Tanner) and Shawna (Darrin, Coy, Rori); her brothers, Jack (Fran, Jared, Jackie) and Walter (Dianne, Kristen), sister Jody (Gary, Brett, Colton), and honourary children, Darryl Rempel, and Jason Roblin.

Toodle-loo Jayebird. We love you.

A Celebration of Jaye’s Life will be held at the Victoria Inn (3550 Victoria Ave, Brandon, MB) on Jaye’s Birthday, Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. A private graveside service will be held by the family at Brandon Cemetery.

If friends so desire, memorial tributes, in Jaye’s name, may be made directly to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Alberta, 200, 119 – 14th Street N.W., Calgary, AB T2N 1Z6 Telephone: (403) 264-5549, www.heartandstroke.ca., or to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind, 15 Colonel Baker Place N.E., Calgary, AB T2E 4Z3 Telephone: (403) 261-7219.

Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed with Jaye’s family at www.MHFH.com.

In living memory of Jaye Jacobson, a tree will be planted in the Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area by McInnis & Holloway Funeral Homes.
