VICKIE ROSIANN DAVIDSON

(nee SASENIUK)

January 28, 1940 - December 9, 2023

Vickie passed away in Brandon, Manitoba at Dinsdale Personal Care Home, at the age of 83.

She is survived by her daughter Roslyn; sisters, Ronnie, Leona, Dianne and Karen; brothers, Alvin, Gerry and Bill; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Mary and Alex, husband Bob, sisters, Jean and Gladys, and brothers, Ernie and Michael.

Vickie was born in Geraldton, Ontario, second child born to Mary and Alex Saseniuk. They moved to Saskatchewan when she was four years old, and eventually settled in the municipalities of Big Woody, then Crestview Manitoba. Following the completion of school, Vickie moved to Birtle, Manitoba to work with her uncle Dr. Michael Sasyniuk. She met Bob (Robert) Davidson at a dance in Isabella, Manitoba; they were married August 10, 1963. In 1966 they welcomed their only child Roslyn into their family. Vickie and Bob eventually moved to Brandon where Vickie worked as a Dietary Aide at the Brandon Hospital until her retirement in 2002. Vickie and Bob enjoyed 51 years together.

Vickie enjoyed simple pastimes in crocheting, knitting, sewing, needle point and tatting. She collected silver spoons on all her travels and also loved to go camping with her family. Vicki was also a puzzle enthusiast; there was always one on the go on her kitchen table. Throughout life she also liked playing Bingo and secured a collection of items in winnings while living at Dinsdale Home.

At her daughter’s request, a casual memorial will be held at 1:00 p.m. on June 15, 2024, at the Riverbank Discovery Centre in Brandon, Manitoba.
