With sadness we announce the sudden passing of Allan, age 65, on April 13, 2024.
Allan was born in Teulon, MB to Stanley and Rose Blahut on February 16, 1959. He worked in the Maintenance Department at St. Mary's Academy for the last 20 years and just retired on March 28.
He enjoyed spending time at Toniata "Falcon Lake", taking care of his lawn and gardening. He was proud of his prized tomatoes, they were always the biggest in the competition with his sisters and mother! He treasured his family and was the best "Pop Pops" to his grandchildren.
Allan is survived by his wife Lori; children Robert (Chrissy), Andrew (Velvet) and Lisa (Cody); grandsons Dakota, Seth, Ayden and AJ; his mother Rose Blahut; siblings Janice (Robin), Valerie (Denis), Brian (Doreen), Dianne (Daniel) and Darlene; his sisters-in-law Kathy and Trudy; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father Stanley and his stepfather Lawrence Guiboche.
If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Our extreme gratitude is extended to our neighbours, Kelly, Didi, and Myra and the paramedics and staff at St. Boniface Hospital.
A Celebration of Life is being held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 19, 2024, at The Royal Canadian Legion, 215 Maxwell King Dr., East St. Paul, MB.
Alterna Cremation is handling the funeral arrangements.

Lori, Andrew, Velvet and family, Lisa & Cody - Our deepest sympathy to all of the passing of Al. He was a wonderful neighbor always there to help when we needed advice or there to lend a helping hand. We will miss our daily visits over the fence, the many tomatoes and cucumbers given to us and our games of dice. May he rest in peace.
