Sister Maria Goretti (Claire Chenier) was my most favourite teacher in high school in Hong Kong. She treated all her students with so much love and patience as well as respect and understanding, whoever have been taught by her will never forget her. That is why even after she came back to Canada, students from Hong Kong still called her frequently and some even came to visit her a number of times. Anybody who knows Claire knows that she loves Jesus and the Catholic Church, that she dedicated her entire life in serving and loving others. We will all miss her but we also know she is very close to us and is busy interceding for us. Thank you Claire for everything you have taught me, for your love for me and my family. May you rest in the Heart of Jesus forever. - Posted by: Betty Man (Lifelong Friend) on: Apr 28, 2024

A a young boy, my family were neighbours to the Chenier family in Norwood. I grew up knowing Mrs. Chenier who very capably managed a family and large home. I played with Sister Claire's younger brothers, Marcel and Claude. On my travels to Winnipeg, I would stop to say hello to Sister Claire who later managed the family's large home. I was always impressed how warm, soft spoken and welcoming she was me. Sister Claire and her smile will remain in my thoughts as special memories of my years in Winnipeg. Condolences to Cecile and the family. Penny and Louis Hogan, Calgary. - Posted by: Louis Hogan (Neighbour in Norwood) on: Apr 27, 2024

Dear Sister Claire, you have been one of the holiest people I have ever known. I know that you have been welcomed in Heaven with open arms. Thank you for having been a saintly example for me and for all who have known you. Thank you for your great Love of Our Lord and His Holy Mother. You dedicated your life to making that Love known. Now you are reaping your heavenly reward. My condolences to family and friends who are now mourning your passing. Cousin Annette. - Posted by: Annette Bonomo (cousin) on: Apr 27, 2024
