It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of Clara Faraci (Yercha) at 89 years of age. Clara was born October 30, 1934, and passed on April 29, 2024, one day before her 64th wedding anniversary.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband Phil, her sons Phil (Cindy) and Cory. Her grandchildren, Philip, Anthony, Rachelle (Randy), Morgan (Allan), Joey, Kyle, and great-grandchildren.
Her sisters, Olga Austin, Verna Steeves, and Sally Tam, plus nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Mom was born in Dauphin MB. She left home to pursue a career in accounting, moving to Flin Flon and then settling in Winnipeg where she met Dad. They married and had 2 sons.
Mom enjoyed spending time with family, going to bingo and playing cards. They took vacations to Toronto, Vancouver, Las Vegas, California, and Denver including road trips with Phil, Cindy and family to California and Vancouver.
Mom retired from Frontier School Division where she worked as an accountant for 37 years. She then helped Dad as they organized bus tours to various casinos in the States. She loved her bingo and slot machines.
Mom was well liked and respected by everyone. She always had a twinkle in her eyes and never had a bad thing to say about anyone.
Mom's health was declining but she never gave up, right until the end. Many thanks to Dr. George and Grace Hospital staff for supporting Mom. Also Drs. Rumbolt and Nelko for their care.
Donations in lieu of flowers can be made in Clara's memory to The Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of one's choice.
Funeral service will take place on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. (condolences at 10:00 a.m.) at the Holy Rosary Church 510 River Avenue, Winnipeg with Father Samuel Argenziano presiding.

We're so sad to hear about Clara. In all my years of living ...I have truly never met a kinder, gentler woman. I will never forget when I was about 10 Clara took me to her parents. We were having chicken for dinner. Well being naive. ..I walked out the door and I heard a thunk and a chicken went flying by me with no head!
