Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCONSTANCE LAVONA CLAUSON
With hearts full of love and great sadness we regret to announce that after a brief struggle with cancer, Constance Clauson passed peacefully from this earth on April 17, 2024, at the age of 78. Connie was born on February 14, 1945, in Swift Current and grew up in Saskatchewan, where her adventurous spirit and compassionate heart shone brightly from an early age.
Connie dedicated much of her life to serving others with kindness and generosity. A caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother she was happiest when gathering for special family occasions on the farm where she raised many thoroughbred racehorses and other animals. She was a selfless giver to her many communities but especially her second home, Assiniboia Downs where she trained racehorses and served in various capacities on the HPBA. She was always working to improve the lives of the behind-the-scenes people on the track that make horseracing possible.
She leaves behind her two children, LaVona and Russell, her sister Cynthia, as well as her four grandchildren, Steven, Alaisha, Elliot, Emilia and six great-grandchildren, Aidan, Brooke, Corbin, Emma, Greyson, Antonio and many other family members and dear friends.
Connie's legacy of compassion and service will live on in the hearts of those she touched, and her spirit will continue to inspire us in the days ahead. Our lives will not be the same without her.
The family kindly requests that friends take a moment to remember Connie and share stories about her in honour of her memory. In lieu of flowers, donations can me be made to Final Furlong Canada.
A private family memorial will be held.

I will always hold Connie close to my heart, she was a true friend, my confident. And always there for everyone. She taught me how to have understanding, and compassion for all. I will truly miss her and all the wonderful talks we had, and are get-togethers for lunch. - Posted by: Debbie Fakes (Dear Friend.) on: May 18, 2024
