ELIZABETH HANDEL
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and mother-in-law, Elizabeth Handel on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at Concordia Place Care Home.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Debra (Rob), son, David (Terri) and grandchildren, Carter and Reagan.
Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband, Richard (2014) and by her parents.
Elizabeth grew up in Winnipeg, and while caring for her family, she worked in a variety of secretarial positions, her last with MTS, prior to retiring.
Elizabeth loved her family above all else and treasured the time she spent with her children and grandchildren. She was always proud to introduce them and to talk about their accomplishments to anyone she would meet. Before her health declined, she could spend an entire morning at the store just chatting with friends.
As per Elizabeth's wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.
If desired, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, as Elizabeth held a special place in her heart for animals.
